Chenzhou Bureau of Ethnic and Religious Affairs was formed in 2002 as the combination of Ethnic Affairs Commission of Chenzhou City and Religious Affairs Office of Chenzhou City.  In possession of four offices (General Office, Ethnic Affairs Office, No.1 Religious Affairs Office and No.2 Religious Affairs Office) as well as 14 cadres and staffs, it is in charge of the city's ethnic and religious affairs.
